Enjoy an uphill zig-zag walk on the original mine bridle track to access the Invincible Gold Mine located at 787m asl.

7500oz of gold was won from this area over the 18-year period 1879 to1897.

Today, view the unique stand of 7 burdans while you marvel at those miner’s hard endeavours and absorb the beauty of the Earnslaw Massif and Rees Valley stretching out below.

Grade: Grade: Moderate 368m climb. The old bridle road used by horses to haul the mining machinery up to the mine zig zags steadily to above bush line. Well-formed and graded all-weather track
